If I chose Search Essence for my Website Design, what happens next?

To begin with, you would see a senior member of our staff, to discuss your requirements and aspirations, and you will be given a quote for the building of your website. If you would like to talk to them about marketing your website as well, this can all be discussed at the initial meeting (or phone call, if it’s easier and you prefer this option). Our member of staff will then leave you to decide if you’d like to go ahead, there is absolutely no hard sell here – unless, of course, you are so impressed with us, and then you can give us the go-ahead straight away – obviously, we would hope for this, but it’s not always that easy. There may be other members of your Company you need to speak to first before you can authorise anything – just take your time, we understand it can be daunting, and is a big decision.

If you decide you would like to go ahead, we will invoice you for half the cost of the website upfront. We will tell you if we need any information from you (such as pictures you’d like to use, material for the “about us” page, etc), and will commence designing your draft copy. This usually takes a week or two.

Once the draft copy is completed by our website designers, we will either visit you again, or email you over a copy. You look at it, decide if there are any changes you would like to make, and ask as many questions as you need to. When you have approved the draft, we then design your site for real. The site can usually be built within a few weeks, although this does depend on content – E-Commerce and Database-driven websites take considerably longer.

When the site is completed, you are shown it again before it goes “live” and is published to the web – this is the exciting part, after weeks of anticipation! We will then give you the final invoice for the website design. Web Hosting for your website for the first two years is included in the original quote.
